Tuesday 06 September on Fårö

 We start the day with a brisk dip in the reasonably warm sea. followed by warm shower in the immaculate camp site facilities. 

We cycle off through dense pine forest and reach the 19C lighthouse. Then after some off road sections of the cycle track we arrive at the most northerly point of Faro with its weirdly shaped limestone stacks. 

Lunch on a picnic bench looking back towards Gotland. Gloriously sunny with fresh north westerly breeze.

We visit the church at Fårö  Another suspended votive boat  also the graves of Ingmar Bergman and his wife Ingrid ( not the famous actress)  Bergman lived on the island for many years. After 38 miles we have pretty much done a complete lap of Faro and so return to base and spend some time on the white sandy beach until we feel a bit chilly and retreat to Ludwig. Beautiful pinky moon rising as the sun sets.
