Thursday 15 September: Travemunde to Hook if Holland

 We’ve rather been dreading this day as the traffic here was so bad. In fact we make good progress with no delays only stopping to new a coffee and have a picnic lunch. We decide to nip into Utrecht and manage to park in an out of town IKEA and cycle in! Lovely canals and cobbled streets. The infamous Dom tower unfortunately completely clad in scaffolding for renovation. We wander and had have a coffee and cake before heading on. Unfortunately the traffic has now built up and we have a rather slow last leg arriving at the port soon after 7pm. Thinking we’d have to wait on the quay for hours we are thrilled to find that we can board almost immediately so can enjoy the boat before we set sail at 10pm.
